The AHA (NT Branch) can provide members with a range of assistance and information:

  • Regulatory requirements under gaming legislation including conducting gaming room audits.

  • Advice relating to self exclusion.
  • Responsible Service of Gambling training CD for staff in respect to obligations under the Code of Practice for Responsible Gambling. For a copy of the CD please contact the AHA (NT) on 8981 3650.

Gambling Help Online      

Gambling Help Online (www.gamblinghelponline.org.au) offers live counselling and email support from qualified, experienced counsellors for gamblers and their families, and a wealth of information for health professionals.

 

Responsible Gambling Code of Practice

 The AHA (NT) and community service organisations worked in close partnership with the Northern Territory Government to develop and implement the Responsible Gambling Code of Practice (the Code). This initiative is aimed at addressing and minimising the levels of gambling related harm. The Code was initially established with industry on a voluntary basis and with total support of the industry the Code became law in 2006.
